Sorry I missed everyone.....

Hello former classmates - Looking at the posted photos made me realize how sorry I am to have missed the reunion. I had intended on being there and was so looking forward to seeing Connie Lou and everyone else, however, an unexpected business trip sent me to Greeley, Colorado instead.
Looking at the photos, I was able to recognize most of the faces...a few are unfamiliar. Time has been good to you all.
Hard to believe that some of us are now grandparents. I have two children. My daughter is married and the mother of my two beautiful grandchildren, Dalton-5 and Alexis-2. Her third, Kaden, will join us sometime in January. My grandkids bring me more joy and happiness than any I have ever known. My son, Brandon, is single and likes to spend money too much to settle down. No hurry..he is only twenty-one. They all live in Roosevelt.
I am living in Salt Lake City. I am a licensed insurance agent employed with a local Farmers Insurance Agency. I have been in the insurance industry for twenty years now. I enjoy my job...it allows me to interact with people while doing what I do best--sell insurance.
I have been divorced from Brian Jenkins since 1999. I've spent the last five years focusing on my grandkids and Dalton has been and will always be my preferred date for Jazz games, movies, etc. I had no interest in a serious relationship until I met Chris eight months ago. He is from the Ogden area. He was a system administrator until last month when he was hired by Newfield as a pumper. He now lives in Roosevelt and though I didn't think I'd return to the Basin to live, I now scan the 'help wanted' section of the Uintah Basin Standard.
Would love to hear more about what has been happening in everyones world...

Remember Mr. Lewis??

Hey I found Stuart Lewis the other day on Face book. He shared a family picture with me. Its Mr. Lewis and all 70 members of his family. I never knew Mr. Lewis had 10 children.

What a Great Day

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for inviting me to your class reunion.  I can't tell you how much I enjoyed being there and seeing all of you.  I have to admit that it was a little bit difficult to tell who some of you were.  However, you all look great!  I am so glad that you all made the effort to be there.  It would be nice to see the rest of the class.  I don't have any pictures to show you but will just tell you that I have six children, 5 girls that each have a brother (the same one).  They are all married now and I have 9 adorable, wonderful grandchildren (it is marvelous to be a grandmother).  I'm not too sure about the grandfather, though, he tried to die on me twice in January when we found out he had congestive heart failure and kidney failure.  He fell three times in July and had to go to the nursing home and rehabilitation center to see if he could regain his mobility.  I hope he can come home soon.  I work at the Uintah County Library in the Regional History Room and have only had that job since February.  The previous 15 years, I worked for Utah State Library as the Uintah Basin Bookmobile Technician (the last 8 years in Duchesne at the old County Courthouse Building).   If you are ever in Vernal, please stop in and see me.  I would love to see or talk to any of you.   Thank you for being so fun to teach.  I have such good memories of those days and times together.

With fond memories,   Miss White (formerly) or Susan Merrell (currently)

The 25th Class Reunion

Hey All,
I am sorry that I missed the reunion this last weekend. I would have enjoyed visiting with all of you. Unfortunately, there were a couple of people (I am embarrassed to say) that I did not recognize. However, if I had walked into that room I am certain more than a few of you would not have recognized me. The ravages of time, combined with 20 1/2 years in the Marine Corps and two divorces, have taken their toll!!! ha ha
I would appreciate anyone else with pictures (Connie and/or Karen) posting more pictures and maybe someone could label the class photo so that I may put a few names with faces. I will try and make the next gathering and see some familiar faces. Due to my military commitments I am certain that I have not seen anyone since graduation, with the exception of Kelly and Shelley.
Feel free to e-mail, it is my most dependable form of communication. Unfortunately, shift work causes me extremely odd hours and cellphones are not allowed in our secure workspace. Texts are answered when my phone is on. Take care and would appreciate any and all pictures from you guys and I will reciprocate.

~Darren

The Day After

It was really cool to see all of you yesterday. I especially appreciated those of you who came from great distance.
It was really neat to see all of the teachers. Mr. Ernstens pictures brought back tons of memories.
Please let us know if you have any addresses or phone numbers for missing classmates. We want to have an even larger group next time.
